The Non Commercial partnership "European House" for the development of business, political social and cultural contact" was established in the year 2001 on the initiative of some European politicians and officials who wished to promote the integration of Russia into the European political, economic and social spheres by creating stable partnerships and relationships at both the political and social levels.

Therefore the organisation has the following aims:

• To promote better mutual understanding between Russia and the West;
  
• Search for and use of better cooperation in political, economic, cultural and social spheres;
  
• To promote the process of increasing the civil self-awareness of Russians based on democratic principles of social structure.
